The name AQAL is derived from a traditional East African house-building technique, reflecting the company’s commitment to investing in natural resources while applying modern technology in an environmentally friendly way.
The company emerged after the Puntland government introduced building codes, road standards, urban planning systems, and contract guidelines, responding to the country’s growing construction needs.
AQAL is a private professional firm founded in 2014 by a team of engineers and entrepreneurs to meet the increasing demand for high-quality services such as: architectural design, construction, landscaping, surveying, material laboratory testing, electrical installation, plumbing, water pipe installation, and interlock paving across Somalia.
So far, the company has undertaken quality design and construction works including villas, schools, offices, building renovations, borehole drilling, and shallow well construction across Puntland.
